Please Read This Before Using the Site

The content on rothirahub.com (the "Site") is published by Certified SysAdmin LLC (d/b/a RothIRAHub) as general educational reference material. These disclaimers are incorporated into and are part of our Terms of Service. By using the Site you acknowledge that you have read and understood them.

Not Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

Nothing on the Site is tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, financial advice, investment advice, or professional advice of any kind. The Site describes how the law and regulations currently appear to work based on public primary sources. It does not analyze your specific facts, recommend a course of action for you, or create any form of advisor-client relationship. Your individual situation may involve facts, elections, filing positions, state-law considerations, or professional-conduct rules that we cannot know about and that materially change the answer.

Before making any decision that has tax, legal, or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional who can review your particular facts. That may be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), a tax attorney, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), or a registered investment adviser (RIA), depending on the question. We are none of those things.

Accuracy and Currency

We make a reasonable effort to keep content accurate, cite primary sources, and date our pages. We cannot guarantee that what you read is currently correct. Tax law changes. The Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department issue new regulations, notices, revenue rulings, and procedural guidance on a rolling basis. Congress passes amending legislation. Courts issue decisions that reinterpret settled rules. Dollar thresholds are indexed for inflation and update annually. Before relying on any number, statutory citation, deadline, or procedural step described on the Site, verify it against the current published version of the primary source.

Where pages show an "Effective Date," "Updated," or "Last reviewed" marker, that date reflects the most recent substantive review, not a guarantee that nothing has changed since. Where pages cite a specific IRS Publication, Notice, Treasury Regulation, or Code section, the primary source is linked directly; always click through to confirm the current text.

Tools and Calculators Are Illustrative

The calculators, planners, decision trees, and other interactive tools on the Site (the "Tools") generate estimates based on the inputs you provide and simplifying assumptions stated alongside each Tool. They are not projections, not forecasts, not personal financial plans, and not tax-return preparation software. They are mental-model aids for understanding how rules interact.

Specific limitations you should understand:

  • Tools do not compute your actual tax liability. They apply selected rules to inputs in isolation. Your real tax return involves interactions with other income, credits, deductions, AMT, state tax, and filing-status effects that these tools do not model.
  • Growth projections are probabilistic, not predictive. Where a Tool uses assumed returns, inflation, or Monte Carlo simulation, the output is a possibility distribution, not a forecast of actual results. Real-world returns may differ materially.
  • Inputs you supply are processed in your browser. Tool inputs are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored. We cannot recover or replay a calculation you performed.
  • Edge cases may not be handled. Tools implement the common fact patterns. Unusual combinations (non-calendar fiscal years, foreign account considerations, community-property state effects, complex basis tracking across legacy accounts, etc.) may produce results that need professional review.

Do not use Tool output as the sole basis for a tax-return position, a conversion decision, a withdrawal, a beneficiary election, or any other action with real-world consequences. Verify with a qualified professional.

No Individualized Recommendations

Content on the Site describes rules and illustrates how they work in generic examples. It does not constitute a recommendation that any particular person take or refrain from any particular action. Phrases such as "a taxpayer might," "one approach is," "some investors choose to," or similar constructions describe options — they do not prescribe. Whether any option is appropriate for you depends on facts only you (and your advisors) know.

Forward-Looking Statements

Some pages discuss pending or future-effective legislation (for example, provisions of the SECURE Act or SECURE 2.0 Act with effective dates in later years), expected regulatory guidance, or the direction of forthcoming Treasury rulemaking. These are forward-looking statements based on public information available at the date of writing. They are subject to revision, repeal, legislative amendment, regulatory reinterpretation, or court challenge. Do not rely on any forward-looking description to plan an action that will not be taken until after the relevant effective date without re-verifying the current state of the law at that time.

Third-Party Links and Sources

The Site links to third-party resources — IRS.gov, the Federal Register, SSA.gov, CFPB, FINRA, academic and industry publications, and others. These links are provided for convenience and primary-source verification. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for third-party content, availability, or practices. When you follow a link you leave our Site and become subject to the linked site's terms and privacy practices. Link targets may move or disappear over time; if you find a broken link, please report it via our Contact page.

Jurisdictional Scope

The Site focuses on United States federal tax law as it applies to Roth IRAs, Roth 401(k)s, and related accounts. It does not cover state-level income tax treatment in detail, non-U.S. tax systems, estate-tax planning across jurisdictions, or the specific requirements of employer plan documents. If you are a resident or citizen of a country other than the United States, or a resident of a state with unusual tax treatment of retirement accounts, professional advice is especially important.

Hypothetical Examples and Fictional Personas

Where the Site uses named example taxpayers ("Alex," "Beatriz," "David," etc.), those personas are entirely fictional and constructed to illustrate how rules apply to a clean fact pattern. Any resemblance to real persons, living or deceased, or to real transactions, is coincidental. Dollar amounts, dates, and assumptions in examples are chosen for clarity of exposition, not for statistical representativeness.

No Affiliate or Commercial Relationships (Currently)

As of the Effective Date above, the Site operates on an editorial-only basis. We do not display advertising, do not participate in affiliate programs, and do not receive compensation for mentioning any particular custodian, brokerage, tax-software vendor, or advisor. Mentions are illustrative, not endorsements. If we introduce affiliate or sponsored content in the future, we will disclose it clearly in accordance with 16 CFR Part 255 and update this disclaimer.

No Warranty; Limitation of Liability

The Site and all content and Tools are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Certified SysAdmin LLC and its members, officers, contractors, and contributors disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. See Section 5 of our Terms of Service for the full limitation-of-liability provisions.

Changes to These Disclaimers

We may update these disclaimers from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance of the revised disclaimers.
